How To Play Grand Theft Auto V Like a Professional
In order to play Grand Theft Auto V you must first forget everything that you’ve ever been told. When I say forget everything, I mean your morals, being taught good manners, and just about anything else. You must clean your head from all of that before you sit back, grab a cold soda and pick up your controller. You can tell from reading the title of this game that it’s going to be intense. That’s why you need to be fully prepared for what you’re about to play. I know it took a lot of begging and persuading to convince your parents to buy this video game, but none of that matters at this point. The reason that none of that hard work matters is because you need to prepare your mind for the awesomeness that you’re about to take part in.
Surviving in the chaotic city of Los Santos is no easy task: even a casual stroll down the sidewalk with your trusty canine friend can turn deadly in a matter of seconds. It seems like every criminal, cop, and crazy person in Rockstar’s satirical city is always looking to take part in some confrontation. Because everyone is perpetually looking for a fight that might prove to be too difficult at times for the average gamer, lucky for you, I’m going to teach you how to play gta v like a professional. Here are a couple of situations you may encounter in gta v, along with descriptions of how an amateur might handle them. If these sound like how you play the game, don’t worry because we all sucked at one time. Each situation outlines how I personally handled them.
Situation number one: After choosing your car, Franklin’s friend Lamar challenges you to a race during the driving tutorial. How an amateur would handle it would be by driving through Los Santos while following closely behind Lamar on your GPS. This is how a professional handles it: Immediately get into a head-on collision and lose Lamar because you’re busy reading the on-screen prompt for things you already know how to do.
Here’s another situation for you to think over: After successfully racing Lamar, the cops show up and begin a high-speed chase. Amateurs follow the on-screen directions and lose the cop, then head to the dealership and finish the mission. How a pro handles it: Ignore the game’s instructions, as well as the cops, and head north into the mountains. Become obsessed with trying to make your car explode, and spend twenty minutes driving off of every cliff and bridge you come across.
After a few more tutorial missions you decide to take a break for a quick round of golf. An amateur saves the game and then heads over to the golf course in the morning. A pro fails to realize that there’s no such thing as night golf and heads over to the country club. A pro walks up to the guard who’s clearly waving you away because the country club isn’t open yet. Stroll back to your car, then get shot six times by the guard. Panic and drive backwards into the parking lot, wedging you car between two walls. Continue to get shot at while you drive back and forth, then run the guard over. Drive around the block while avoiding the cops, then park outside the country club again and wait for dawn. After finally starting a round of golf, accidentally trip into your golf cart and inexplicably die.
This one is one of my favorites, while towing cars as Franklin; you spot a free bullet proof vest in the parking lot of the adjacent police station. How an amateur would handle it: sneak in, grab the armor, and sneak back out. How a pro handles it: sneak in and grab the armor. Feel a false sense of invincibility after putting it on, and then try to steal a squad car in front of the pair of cops who are hanging behind the building. Act surprised when they start shooting at you, instantly diminishing the armor you just stole. Drive into the gate, and then get pulled out of the vehicle. Run down the street into a massive, multistory parking garage to escape. Run up all four levels even after the police give up chasing you, because surely there will be a jump at the top along with a car to drive off of it. Realize you’re half right and start the long walk back down to the street.
After taking all of this in to consideration, you should be completely set to take on the city, Los Santos, and if by any means this information wasn’t helpful, well then that sucks. These are examples of how a professional would handle them. I’ve taken the time to share these examples with you and to give my advice on each one. So if during this time you realized you played like an amateur, don’t sweat it. Because we all sucked at one point, you just have to take the time to learn and you’ll be playing like a pro in no time.
